Freelance Works

These are some freelance works that I have been doing from 2015-2016.

2016 August - October

UX/UI Designer for University of Auckland

2016 August - Current

Level Designer at Eyemobi Ltd.

2015 September - October

2D Animator for Problem Gambling Foundation

The University of Auckland is currently developing an open source website that is to be used by lecturers to better understand the learning progress of students.

I was in charge of interviewing current users of this website, and to create a new wireframe to suggest that would allow the user a better experience of the website.

The images on the left are some of the wireframes that were created for this website.

The images were created in Photoshop CC.

In 2015, a group of students from AUT University was working alongside Problem Gambling Foundation to create a video to be viewed by the public to raise awareness of sports gambling.

I had the opportunity to work as a 2D animator, creating the script, storyboard, assets in Photoshop and animating them in After Effects.

The video to the left shows the animation that I created, alongside a different artist who was in charge of creating the backgrounds and some of the background characters.

This image was planned to be projected onto a wall, so the style used to create the characters were quite simple and vectorised.

I did not create the video to the left but it shows the animation being projected onto the wall of a building.

Eyemobi is an independent game development company located in Auckland, New Zealand. They have previously released a horror game called Phantasmal which has gained high reviews on Steam.

I am currently an intern at Eyemobi, doing 3D level design.

The director of Eyemobi has selected some assets to use, and I was in charge of selecting which asset to use to create each area of the model.

I was provided with a basic map layout which I filled with various assets. Since I had no concepts to work off of, the lighting and interior design were all up to me to create.

The director of Eyemobi was inspired by a game called Alien Isolation, which I used as inspiration to create the room layouts.
